THE STORYS OF KIRKLINTON AND BRANCHES.

The items in the Inventory mention inter alia,

Eight feather beds and beding with 7 pairs of blanketts
bedsteads, courtings and vallands10 12 0

Iron potts, brass and pewter goods are likewise included  

A Justice Brown, of Linehow, appears and Thomas Taylor is described as of Rickergate, yeoman.

WILL OF CHRISTOPHER STORY OF RIGHEAD, IN THE PARISH
OF KIRKLINTON, 1720.
IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN. I Christopher Story of Righead in the parish of Kirklinton in the county of Cumberland being sicke in body but well in minde and of good and perfect memory praised be Almighty God for the same do make and order this my last Will and Testament in maner and forme following revokeing and disannulling all other wills by me heretofore made whatsoever &c. Item. It is my will and I do hereby give to my sone Christopher the two cubards in the forehouse and kitchin and the table that is in the same or else, table, cubard and bedstead that is at Cloughside which he pleases. Item. I give to my daughter Abigail eighty pounds of lawful money of Great Britame with consideration for the same after my decease until it be paid and so much of the insight household stuf beding and linnen as will make her part and share equall with the rest of my daughters And whereas my daughter Mary had the least part of the insight household stuff Bedding and linnen it is my will her mother shall make her share equall with the rest. Item. I give to my wife Bridget twenty pounds and a third part of all horses, cowes, sheep, and other cattle to me belonging and a third part of all corne and hay whatsoever. Item. I give to my said wife all my insight, household stuff, Bedding, and Linnen that she may have the use of what she stands in need of while she lives and the remainder to divide it among my daughters. Item. I give to the poor in Hethersgill and Midle Quarter twenty shillings and to the poor in Kirklinton meeting twenty shillings. Item. I give to Thomas Scott of Highberies three pounds to be reserved for the use of the aforesaid meeting And for all the rest my goods and chattels moveable and immoveable all horses, cowes, sheep and other cattle, money, Bills, Bonds, debts and other demands, and all corn, hay and other things whatsoever to me belonging or in any wise appertaining I give to my five daughters Elizabeth, Mary, Rachell, Abigail and Deborah to be equally divided amongst them And I do hereby appointe Robert Latimer of Parselstown and Thomas Scott of High-berries joynt executors of this my last Will and Testament on the behalfe of my said daughters and to pay my just debts and legacies alwayes alloweing them consideration for their troble and paines and their expenses born at all times. In witness whereof I have hereunto sette my hand the day arid yeare first above written
