    The dates are for the year ending St. Peter's Day (June 29th).
    N.B.-The old Chapelry of Troutbeck included Long Greenhead, Limefit and The Howe, all in Applethwaite township.
    Windermere and Browhead are within the township of Applethwaite.

As will be seen by pedigree sheet of Sir Thomas Storey's ancestors, the Storeys of Old Hutton and Troutbeck were related to the Brownes of Town End. John Storey of Long Green Head, married Agnes, daughter of Rowland Browne of The Crooke, 4th May, 1697. She was his second wife. In 1773, Richard Storey, grandson of the above John Storey, married Elizabeth, daughter of Benjamin Browne of Townhead. The Storeys, Atkinsons, Birkets, and Bensons were all related to each other. Two of the family of Browne of Town End, were High Constables of Kendal Ward. The present representative of this ancient family. Mr. George Browne. has a large collection of old Indentures, Wills, Records, and Parish Papers.

In 1762, among lists of subscribers towards augmenting the living of Troutbeck School is the name of Richard Storey of Long Green Head, who subscribes £1.

The Storey and Story family have been connected with Lambrigg, within the old Chapelry of Grayrigg, a township four-and-a-half miles east-north-east of Kendal. also with Birkrigg Park. Preston Richard, in the parish of Heversham. [See Will of Arthur Storey of Lambrigg. 1630.]

In the volume entitled "Duchetiana or Historic and Genealogical Memoirs of the Family of Duket from the Norman Conquest to the present time in the counties of Lincoln, Westmorland, Wilts.. Cumberland and Buckingham, by Sir G. F. Duckett, Bart. (1874)." is this information regarding Lambrigg:-
